Our teaching philosophy applies the laws of physics to the dimensions of the tennis court. Our techniques eliminate wasted motion to produce more efficient strokes. Director of Tennis
Jim is a Certified USPTA Elite Pro with a degree in Science of Tennis Instruction from Tyler Junior College, the first accredited tennis college in the nation. Jim studied under tennis experts, Steve Smith and Vic Braden. He has instructed at Vic Braden Tennis College as well as Florida’s prestigious Colony Beach Resort. In 1991 Jim was Pennsylvania’s “Tennis Coach of the Year”. Several of his students have gone on to play for Division I colleges.

Before joining the teaching staff in 1999 Cory trained under Jim, from the age of 10, as a player. Cory graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bloomsburg University with a degree in Education and is a Certified USPTA Professional.

A Certified USPTA Elite Pro, and teaching pro at DTC since 1998, Mary Lou is a graduate of Arcadia University with a Master’s in Education and has a B.S. in Computer Science from Villanova University.
A Certified USPTA Pro, teaching here since 2013, Nick trained under Jim Klein both as a player and instructor. Nick is also a 3rd Degree Black Belt!
Sander played tennis for New Hope Solebury High School and also played D2 tennis at Millersville University. He came to Doylestown Tennis Club as a player in early 2009 and started training under Jim Klein as a coach the same year. Sander has extensive knowledge of Vic Braden’s 55 years of tennis research.
A PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) Certified Tennis Instructor teaching here since 2016. Lisa trained under Jim Klein as a player and instructor, and is a former Nursery School teacher.
